SUPLENA®

Specialized liquid nutrition

Suplena® is specialized nutrition designed to help meet the nutrient needs of non-dialysed people with chronic kidney disease requiring protein, electrolyte, and fluid restrictions. Suplena® helps maintain nutritional status while minimizing accumulation of nitrogenous waste products and electrolytes in patients prone to uremia.1 For people prone to uremia. For people with chronic kidney disease who are not undergoing dialysis. For supplemental or as a sole source of nutrition. For oral or tube feeding use.

Preparation

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • Shake well and clean top of can thoroughly before opening.

Oral Feeding: May be used for supplemental or sole source of nutrition. May be served at room temperature or chilled.

Tube Feeding: Pump feeding is recommended, feed at room temperature with an 8 Fr or larger tube. Follow health care professional instructions for flow rate, volume and need for additional fluids. Care should be taken to avoid contamination during preparation and administration.

Storage

  • Store unopened at room temperature; avoid extreme temperatures. When carefully poured from the can into an enteral feeding setup, hang for 8–12 hours.1 Once opened, cover, refrigerate, and use within 48 hours.
