Oral rehydration solution for all ages

Pedialyte® AdvancedCare® Plus is formulated with 33% more electrolytes* to replenish fluids and electrolytes lost during diarrhea and vomiting to help prevent dehydration. Can be used for maintenance of water and electrolytes following corrective parenteral therapy for diarrhea.

Preparation
Directions for Use:
  • Mix the entire contents of 1 stick with 500 mL of drinking water.
  • Stir/Shake until completely dissolved. If drinking water is not available, use boiled or bottled water to prepare the solution. Do not boil the solution after it is prepared.
  • Tastes best served cold.


Recommended dose*

Infants less than 1 year

  • Consult a physician before using Pedialyte® AdvancedCare® Plus.

Children 1 year of age

  • Give 50-100 mL per episode of diarrhea and/or vomiting, up to a maximum of 1 L over a period of 24 hours.

Children 2–9 years

  • Give 100-200 mL per episode of diarrhea and/or vomiting, up to a maximum of 1 L over a period of 8 to 24 hours.

Adults, adolescents and children 10 or more years

  • Take 200-400 mL per episode of diarrhea and/or vomiting, or as much as wanted.


*Attempt to give/take solution as soon as diarrhea begins. Take/give the solution frequently and in small amounts (e.g., 5 mL) gradually increased, as tolerated. If more solution is requested/desired, give/take more, as tolerated.

Storage

Store powder sticks at room temperature, avoid extreme temperatures. Refrigerate unused reconstituted product in a sealed container and use within 96 hours or discard.
